OPUS JAY SINGAPORE: Epilogue/ Bye bye Jay and crew!

One week ago at this time, I was rocking away in DIAO Heaven at the SIS, at my very first full-length Jay Chou concert.
How time flies!
My fellow Jay-fan friends and I have been suffering Jay-withdrawal symptoms but assuaging them by keeping our App chats and Facebook posts alive with loads of pics, memories and swooning over His Royal DIAOness.

Here, I would like to pay special tribute to the members of the Jay Chou Singapore and Malaysia fanclub who have been totally ACE with their Jay-mania and without whom this fangirl would have probably never gotten the chance to see Jay so up close and take another group photo with him at the airport.

Aren't they cute here, doing the Rooftop pose outside the SIS? :)

And here they are from the front:

And here they are on Razor TV!

Needless to say, the final night's concert which I attended with them was the most fun EVER, as we occupied a significant portion of the seats and stood out so colourfully with our beautiful PINK teeshirts, which were specially made for OPUS JAY.
Hehe...someone asked me before the show if they could buy a tee too!
Of course we were also wont to stand up during the concert as Jay's music took hold of us and cheer and scream the loudest as well! Simply AMAZING!

Anyway, the next big thing for the fanclub was the airport send-off for Jay and his entourage the next morning at Changi Terminal 1.
True to form, about 50 members (including yours truly, of course, who was super thankful Jay was leaving on a Sunday morning and not Monday!) dutifully turned up and....got to see not just Jay, but his whole crew as well!
Yup, his choreographer (Xiao Mai), musicians, stage manager, dancers...they were all inundated with requests for photos and autographs by the enthusiastic fans as they were all as familiar to us as Jay himself, thanks to the fact that he does not have weibo but uses his friends' weibo to tweet his messages. :)

Lol...they were really nice and accomodating as they posed and chatted with us, no doubt enjoying the attention and warmth that was showered on them.
Which they truly deserved as OPUS JAY would not have been possible without all their hard work and dedication as well.
Jay knows that and he always makes sure his entourage are well taken care of and he has absolutely no diva-esque behaviour nor demands (unlike some celebs who will make all sorts of outrageous requests like a certain brand of mineral water, must have their own chefs, yadayadayada...).

All too soon, Jay arrived to check in (doesn'the look so DIAO??):

We were instructed by our club admins not to scream but to ask Jay nicely as he approached us if he would take a group photo with us. We complied and to our utter delight, Jay nodded with a murmured consent, walked into where we had made a space for him and.....and voila!

Post photo-taking...a lucky and quick-thinking member got this amazing shot!

Jay had two different poses! Love his thumb-up sign!!

Look at the happiness on our faces!!!

LOVE that adorable left cheek dimple!!!

After that, he gave us a small wave and proceeded to the premier check-in entrance, where all of us gathered outside the glass partition, trying to peep in for some final glimpses of him...lol!
Amidst lots of "Bye bye" and "Thank you" from all of us, Jay half-turned and waved again (yaay!) as he went on to hand his passport to the immigration officer...and disappeared from our view.

After which we did the usual 'take a photo from Jacky's camera' thingy to satisfy ourselves before the admins uploaded a proper photo for us. ;)

Jay's musician, Huang Yuxun took a shot of us preparing ourselves prior to Jay's arrival and uploaded it onto his Facebook page, with very nice comments about how polite and well-behaved, yet warm we were!

We were all over weibo as well, with many fans being very envious of our group photo with Jay!

And the very first paper to come out with a review of his concert was The New Paper, with a report by Tan Kee Yun:

Other newspapers and mags:

And with that, our wonderful OPUS JAY in SINGAPORE came to an end.

But there's no end to the Jay-mania as we prepare for the release of The Rooftop!

Let me end with an awesome mag cover of His Royal DIAOness for his Rooftop promos...omg!

Le swoon....

I'll be posting some Rooftop updates next!

Cheers!

    1. The show has not been broadcast yet, I think.
Once it is available on youtube, I'll compile into my youtube channel as a playlist.

Meanwhile, you can read a translated article about the show in Jay Chou Studio (copy and paste link below and Search on Google):
